"Προστατευτικά (καταστολέας) τάσης
Υπάρχει συχνά «θόρυβος» και ατέλειες στην ηλεκτρική ενέργεια από το δίκτυο παροχής, αλλά ακόμη και ολοκληρωτική πτώση του ηλεκτρικού. Αυτό είναι ένας από τους εχθρούς που ένα ηλεκτρονικό κύκλωμα πρέπει να προστατευθεί. Ένα από τα κακά που μπορούν να προληφθούν είναι η ζημιά σε ηλεκτρονικά κυκλώματα και κατ’ επέκταση ίσως και ζημιά σε δεδομένα όπου το κόστος θα είναι ψηλό. Με μία μονάδα αδιάλειπτης τροφοδότησης (uninterruptible power supply) από την APC ή Eaton Power Quality μπορεί να προστατεύσει τα συστήματα σας από διακοπές του ηλεκτρικού αλλά και από τα προβλήματα θορύβου στα καλώδια. Οι μονάδες μόλις αισθανθούν τη διακοπή του ηλεκτρικού ξεκινούν να τροφοδοτούν τον υπολογιστή με ηλεκτρικό από μία μπαταρία, δίνοντας έτσι σημαντικές στιγμές για να φυλακτούν τα διάφορα αρχεία."
