DS415 provides share-level AES 256-bit encryption to block off unauthorized access attempts. Once you create and encrypt a shared folder, people without the encryption key will not be able to use the encrypted data even if they remove the hard drives from your DS415 and mount it on their device. 2-Step verification gives an extra layer of protection as 6-digit one-time code sending to your mobile device is required for login.
