All-in-one touch computers for checkouts, restaurants, hospitality and self-service: Elo I-Series and EloPOS systems with Android or Windows, Shuttle POS all-in-ones, and Zebra kiosk and customer concierge computers for price checking and self-ordering.
How to choose a POS touch computer
- Android or Windows. Choose the operating system your POS software runs on. Android models (with Google services, GMS) are lower cost and simple to manage; Windows models with Intel Core processors run classic desktop POS and ERP software.
- Screen size and shape. 15 to 15.6 inch is the usual checkout size; 10 inch suits small counters and tablets; 22 inch suits self-ordering and digital menus. Some models have a 4:3 or 5:4 screen for older POS software layouts.
- All-in-one or system. I-Series and Slate models are the computer alone. EloPOS systems add a stand with an I/O hub for the cash drawer, receipt printer and scanner. Check what is included before ordering peripherals.
- Kiosks. Zebra kiosk and concierge computers mount on a wall or stand for price checks, loyalty and self-ordering, and usually include a built-in scanner.
- Peripherals. Add a receipt printer, barcode scanner and cash drawer that your software supports. Cyprus uses UK three-pin sockets, so check the power cords.
