Compatibility — read before buying
This adapter is one-way: it converts an HDMI output to VGA, and does not work in reverse (VGA to HDMI). Because VGA is analog, HDCP-protected content may not display — use it for standard laptop, PC and console output. Maximum resolution is up to 1920×1200 / 1080p at 60Hz. VGA carries no audio, so sound is provided on the separate 3.5mm jack. It is bus-powered from HDMI; add the optional micro-USB power if your source cannot drive it.
