CHERRY publishes the chemistry rather than a vague claim: it is resistant to distilled water, diesel, dishwashing liquid and isopropyl alcohol, and conditionally resistant to petrol, oil and 40% sulphuric acid (battery acid). The material is free of halogens, latex and does not contain polybrominated diphenyl ethers — which matters in food, medical and electronics environments where those are restricted. The single thing to get right: WetEx films are cut for one specific keyboard model. CHERRY publishes 26 different WetEx part numbers, each matched to a different board, and a film for another model will not sit correctly over the keys — the cut-outs and the key spacing simply will not line up. This one fits the CHERRY G84-4100, 86 keys; if your keyboard is a different model, tell us and we will find the matching part number rather than sending the wrong film. Two more practical points. The conditional resistances are conditional for a reason: petrol, oil and battery acid will be survived but not indefinitely, so wipe them off rather than leaving them.
