Compatibility — check before buying:
Two things to check, and one that catches people out. First, curved panels are not supported — StarTech publishes that as an explicit no, while listing ultrawide as an explicit yes. If your screen is curved, this is the wrong arm and we should look at another. Second, the size figures need reading in context: the spec table gives 17 to 30 inches, and StarTech’s own description explains that 30 in applies to 21:9 ultrawide panels while 27 in is the figure for conventional 16:9 screens. The thing that catches people out is the 2 kg minimum, which appears in the manual but not in the spec table: a display lighter than that cannot load the spring and will float upward. On fixing, the clamp covers desks 20 to 110 mm thick; the grommet option takes a hole between 10 and 60 mm across, though StarTech publishes no desk-thickness range for the grommet route. Displays mount to VESA 75 x 75 or 100 x 100.
