StarTech.com TB32DP14 Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter

2x DisplayPort 1.4Dual 4K 60HzSingle 8K 30HzThunderbolt 3 / USB4

The StarTech.com TB32DP14 is a Thunderbolt 3 to dual DisplayPort 1.4 adapter that turns one Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 port into two DisplayPort outputs — driving two 4K 60 Hz monitors, or a single 8K 30 Hz / 5K 60 Hz display — for a high-resolution multi-monitor workstation. Sold under part number TB32DP14 (EAN 0065030888752), it is a driverless adapter using DisplayPort 1.4 with HBR3 and DSC. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility note — please read
This adapter requires a Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 host — it does not work on standard USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode ports. On macOS, base M1/M2/M3/M4 MacBooks drive a single display through this adapter; dual extended displays require M1/M2/M3/M4 Pro or Max chips. Windows Thunderbolt/USB4 laptops support dual displays. Setup is driverless.

Key Features

Two DisplayPort Outputs
Add two DisplayPort 1.4 monitors from a single Thunderbolt 3 port — run 2x 4K 60 Hz in extended mode for a wide, high-resolution workspace.

Up to 8K Single Display
Drive one ultra-high-resolution screen at 8K 30 Hz or 5K 60 Hz using DisplayPort 1.4 with HBR3 and Display Stream Compression (DSC).

Driverless & Compact
No software to install — the adapter uses your laptop’s Thunderbolt controller. A 44 cm cable makes it easy to route behind a desk.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work on a standard USB-C port?
No. The TB32DP14 requires a Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 host. It will not drive displays from a regular USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode port.
Can I run two monitors on my MacBook?
On macOS, base M1/M2/M3/M4 MacBooks support a single external display through this adapter. For two extended displays you need an M1/M2/M3/M4 Pro or Max MacBook. Windows Thunderbolt/USB4 laptops support dual displays.
What resolutions are supported?
Two displays at 4K 60 Hz each, or a single display up to 8K 30 Hz or 5K 60 Hz, using DisplayPort 1.4 with HBR3 and DSC.
Do I need to install drivers?
No. The adapter is driverless on Windows 10/11 and macOS 10.13 and later — just plug it into your Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 port.
Singular Expert Insight
The TB32DP14 is the choice for high-resolution multi-monitor setups on Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 laptops — two 4K 60 Hz DisplayPort screens or a single 8K display, driverless. Confirm your laptop has Thunderbolt 3/USB4 (not plain USB-C) and, on Mac, that you have a Pro/Max chip for dual displays. If you have standard USB-C, choose an MST hub or dock instead. Explore the full range of USB-C docking stations and adapters.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if
You have a Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 laptop and want two 4K 60Hz DisplayPort monitors, or one 8K/5K display, driverless.
Skip it if
Your laptop only has standard USB-C (not Thunderbolt/USB4), or you have a base M-series Mac and need two displays.
Also consider
A USB-C MST hub for standard USB-C hosts, or a full Thunderbolt docking station if you also need USB, Ethernet and charging.
