The StarTech.com USB3S2SAT3CB, part number USB3S2SAT3CB, is a USB 3.0 (5 Gbps) to 2.5-inch SATA adapter cable that connects a 2.5" SATA SSD or HDD directly to a computer’s USB-A port — ideal for adding storage, backups, disk imaging and data recovery. With UASP support it can be up to 70% faster than conventional USB 5 Gbps on compatible hosts, and TRIM and 4Kn support keep SSDs healthy. It is bus-powered (no external supply), driver-free and OS-independent, built on an ASMedia ASM225CM bridge for reliable performance. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — 2.5-inch drives only
This bus-powered adapter works with 2.5" SATA (I/II/III) SSDs and hard drives only. It does not power 3.5" drives — those need a powered adapter such as the StarTech USB312SAT3. The host connector is USB Type-A (5 Gbps); UASP performance requires a UASP-capable host. Maximum supported drive power is 900 mA.
