The Belkin Secure Holder with Key Ring for AirTag, part number F8W973BTWHT, is a hard white holder that locks one Apple AirTag in place and attaches it to keys, a car remote or anything else that takes a key ring. The retention is a twist-and-lock mechanism rather than a friction fit — the difference between a tracker that stays put and one that quietly works its way out in a pocket. Raised edges hold the AirTag off surfaces so it does not pick up scratches, and the open face leaves any custom engraving on show. The key ring supplied is silver metal. Compatibility — check before buying:
Designed for the Apple AirTag only — it does not fit Tile, Samsung SmartTag, Chipolo or other trackers, and the AirTag is not included. Each holder takes one AirTag and the pack contains one holder. The holder covers the AirTag up to 5 mm with an open face, so it is not sealed and not waterproof — for a dog collar, a bike or anything that will be rained on, choose the Belkin IPX8 Waterproof Secure Holder (MSC013) instead. The key ring is silver metal, not colour-matched to the holder — the strap version (F8W974) uses a colour-matched nylon strap instead.
Key Features
Twist-and-lock, not a friction fit
The AirTag drops in and twists to lock. Friction-fit and silicone-loop holders are why people end up with the keyring still on the keys and the tracker gone — this one has to be deliberately unlocked.
Metal key ring for keys and remotes
A proper metal split ring rather than a plastic loop, so it goes on the same ring as house keys, a car remote or a locker key and takes the same abuse they do.
Raised edges for scratch protection
The rim stands proud of the AirTag face, so the tracker rests on the holder rather than on a table, on keys or on the inside of a bag. That contact is what makes a bare AirTag look tired within months.
Open face keeps engraving visible
If you had the AirTag engraved, you can still read it. The holder frames the AirTag rather than hiding it, which is also the quickest way to tell which tag is on which item.

Two things decide which one to buy: the attachment and whether it is sealed. The metal key ring here is the right answer for keys and remotes; if you are tagging a suitcase or a rucksack, the strap version (F8W974) threads through a handle where a split ring cannot go. On sealing, this is the open, unsealed version — fine for keys and bags, the wrong choice for a dog or a bike left outside, where the IPX8 MSC013 is what you want.
