How to choose a presenter or remote
- Connection. Most presenters use a small USB receiver and work on Windows and macOS without software. Bluetooth models connect directly to laptops and tablets; check for a USB-C receiver if your laptop has no USB-A port.
- Pointer. Red lasers are standard; green lasers are brighter on large screens. On LCD and LED screens a laser is hard to see, so a virtual or digital pointer is better.
- Range and power. Check the range for the room size (10 to 30 m). Rechargeable models avoid spare batteries.
- Replacement remotes are made for specific displays, projectors or conference cameras. Match the model number of your device; universal remotes cover many TV brands.
