How to choose a GeForce card
- Class. RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti suit 1080p and 1440p gaming and everyday creative work. RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti suit 1440p and 4K. RTX 5080 and 5090 are for 4K, heavy rendering and local AI models.
- VRAM. 8 GB cards are entry level; 12 to 16 GB is safer for new games and creative apps; the RTX 5090 has 32 GB for large AI and 3D workloads.
- Fit and power. Check the card length and thickness, the power supply wattage recommended by the card maker, and whether the card uses the 12V-2x6 connector.
- Office and small PCs. Low-profile GT and RTX 3050 cards fit slim desktops and add extra monitor outputs.
