How to protect your equipment
- UPS. A UPS keeps equipment running for a few minutes during a power cut, so servers and NAS can shut down safely.
- Surge protection. Surge protectors guard against spikes but do not keep equipment running during a cut.
- Batteries. UPS batteries wear out over time; replace them when the UPS reports a battery fault.
- UK sockets. Cyprus uses UK three-pin sockets. Many models listed here have European (Schuko) plugs and sockets, which do not fit UK sockets. Check the plug type in the product title, or ask us for a UK-compatible option.
