A desk video phone with Android, a real handset and access-control video

The PLANET ICF-2000 is a SIP video phone built on Android 9.0, with a 7-inch 1024x600 multi-touch screen, a 5MP camera for 1080p video calls and a corded handset. It works with SIP-based phone systems (IP PBX or hosted VoIP) and is aimed at managers' desks, reception, small meeting rooms and any desk that also needs to see who is at the door.
Besides voice and video calls, it can show video from SIP access-control door stations and unlock the door remotely, it plays sound through a Harman Kardon speaker, and it runs Android apps alongside the phone. It is powered from a PoE switch, connects over Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi, and stands on the desk or mounts on a wall.
Before you order: Needs a SIP phone system or SIP service: it is not a phone for an analogue line, and it will not register to systems that use only proprietary (non-SIP) phones. Send us your PBX model and we check it.
What's in the Box
- 1x PLANET ICF-2000 video phone
- 1x handset
- 1x handset cord
- 1x stand (desk; also used for wall mounting)
- 1x RJ45 network cable
- 1x quick installation guide
- No power adapter: use a PoE switch or injector, or an optional 12V DC 1A adapter
What It Means in Practice
- Power comes from an 802.3af or 802.3at PoE switch port; it draws up to 10.76 W on PoE. Without PoE you need a 12V DC 1A adapter, which is not in the box.
- There are two Gigabit RJ45 ports: one to the network (with PoE in) and one bridged port for a PC, so a desk needs only one cable run.
- Video calls run at up to 1080p 30 fps with H.264. The camera tilts up and down with a knob and has a privacy cover for when you do not want to be seen.
- With 20 SIP lines and 112 programmable DSS keys it can act as a reception or supervisor phone with BLF to watch colleagues' extensions.
- Up to 10-party audio conferencing and 3-party video conferencing are supported on the phone itself; group broadcast and intercom are also listed.
- Wall mounting uses the included stand; you fit two hooks in the wall yourself.
- You can add a headset through the RJ9 headset port alongside the handset.
What Will Not Work
- Not a door station: it is the indoor answering side. The door unit at the entrance is a separate SIP device, and remote unlocking depends on that door station.
- Not a room conference system: the camera and speaker suit one person or a small group at a desk, not a boardroom.
- Not a USB webcam or Teams/Zoom room device: it makes SIP calls; meeting apps are not part of PLANET's specification.
- IPv4 only and indoor use, 0 to 45 °C.
- Without a PoE switch or the optional 12V adapter it will not power up.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it work with my phone system?
It works with SIP-based IP PBXs and SIP providers. Send us the PBX model or provider and we confirm before you order.
Can it open the door?
Yes, when paired with a SIP access-control door station: you see the door camera on the screen and unlock remotely. The door station is a separate device; tell us which one you have and we check it.
Do I need a power adapter?
Not if the desk is fed from a PoE (802.3af/at) switch or injector. Otherwise order a 12V DC 1A adapter.
Can I run Teams or Zoom on it?
PLANET specifies it as a SIP phone with Android app support; it is not certified for Teams or Zoom. For meeting-room use, ask us for a dedicated video conferencing solution.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A video phone draws more power than a basic desk phone, so check the PoE budget of the switch before rolling out several. A PoE+ switch from our
switches range covers the ICF-2000's 802.3at class with room to spare, and removes the need for adapters at every desk.
✓ Buy it if Choose the ICF-2000 for managers, reception or security desks on a SIP phone system that need video calls, a proper handset, many line keys and door-station video in one device.
✕ Skip it if Skip it for a meeting room, for analogue lines, for Teams/Zoom-only offices, or for a desk where a basic SIP phone is enough.
→ Also consider Plan a PoE switch port or injector (or a 12V adapter), an optional headset, and a SIP door station if you want door video. Send us your PBX model and we put together the full set.
Not sure it fits your setup? Send us the model of your rack, switch or device and we will check compatibility before you order.
