This is one upstream SFP+ transceiver for a compatible switch or router, rather than a complete fiber link. It sends at 1270nm and receives at 1330nm, allowing bidirectional 10GbE traffic over a single strand of single-mode fiber. StarTech specifies pairing it with the downstream SFP-10GB-BX-D-STA-ST at the opposite end.

Your host must accept uncoded MSA-compliant 10GBASE-BX SFP+ modules. Confirm the host model, single-mode LC cabling, optical loss budget and complementary downstream wavelengths. The box contains one module; the other-end module and fiber must be planned separately.
