Good Connections OM3 Fibre Patch Cable LC/UPC to SC/UPC Duplex 50/125 µm Multimode, 10m, LSZH, Aqua

The Good Connections LW-810LS3 is a 10 m duplex OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable (50/125 µm) with LC/UPC on one end and SC/UPC on the other, for short-reach multimode optics such as 1000BASE-SX or 10GBASE-SR SFP/SFP+ transceivers, multimode patch panels and server connections.

The aqua 3.0 mm jacket is LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen), with a minimum bend radius of 7.5 mm. Every cable is tested and shipped with its own measurement report. OM3 is laser-optimised 50/125 µm multimode (aqua) — the everyday choice for 10G SR links inside a rack, a server room or between nearby cabinets.

• Duplex = two fibres, one to transmit and one to receive. A standard SFP/SFP+ module uses both, so one duplex cable makes one link.
• Mixed connectors: LC (small, latching) — fits SFP/SFP+ modules and high-density panels; SC (larger, push-pull) — common on older switches, media converters, fibre wall outlets and FTTH gear. This cable bridges the two directly, without a coupler.
• If the link shows no light, the duplex clip can be opened to swap polarity (A/B) — no re-termination needed.
• Jacket colour follows the usual convention (yellow single-mode, aqua OM3, violet OM4, lime OM5), so the cable is easy to identify later in the rack.

• Single-mode (LX/LR/ER) transceivers or yellow OS2 cabling.
• Old 62.5/125 µm (OM1) cabling — the core size does not match 50/125 µm.
• APC (green) ports — many FTTH/GPON ONTs and fibre wall outlets use SC/APC.
• Ports other than LC and SC (e.g. ST, MPO/MTP, FC) — use the matching cable or a suitable coupler.
• It is a passive cable: it does not turn an RJ45 copper port into fibre — that needs an SFP module or a media converter.
