Fully shielded PiMF construction and a halogen-free jacket make it a safe choice for racks, offices and public buildings, and the thinner AWG 28 conductors keep it easy to route in dense panels. Compatibility note: Works with any RJ45 Ethernet port (10/100/1000BASE-T) and is backward compatible with Cat 5e installations. For 2.5G/5G/10G links choose a Cat 6A cord. Because it is shielded, the full benefit of the screen is only realised when both ends plug into shielded (metal-bodied) jacks; on standard unshielded ports it simply works as a normal Cat 6 cable.
