equip Cat 6A S/FTP Outdoor Patch Cable — 1.5 m Black

Cat 6A · 500 MHz10 GbpsUV-resistant LDPE−40 to +65 °C

The equip 605115 is a 1.5 m black Cat 6A S/FTP outdoor patch cable with a UV- and oil-resistant LDPE jacket, made for connecting outdoor IP cameras, access points and PoE devices at up to 10 Gbps. It works from −40 °C to +65 °C, which covers Cypriot summers on rooftops and exposed walls.

The part number is 605115 (EAN 4015867239988). The fully shielded PiMF construction and AWG 27/7 stranded copper also make it a solid choice for PoE+ devices mounted outside. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility note: The jacket is splash-water protected (IEC 60811-1-3), not waterproof: the RJ45 plugs themselves are not sealed, so terminate them inside a weatherproof enclosure, junction box or IP-rated camera housing. Use shielded, grounded equipment at both ends for the S/FTP shield to be effective.

Key Features

UV- and oil-resistant LDPE jacket
Unlike standard PVC or LSZH patch cords, the LDPE outer jacket withstands sunlight and oil exposure without cracking.

Wide −40 to +65 °C range
Rated for outdoor temperature extremes, so it stays flexible in winter and stable on hot rooftops.

Cat 6A with PoE / PoE+
500 MHz, 10 Gbps and PoE/PoE+ support over S/FTP PiMF shielding — ideal for outdoor cameras and wireless bridges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the equip 605115 be used outdoors in direct sun and rain?
Yes. The LDPE jacket is UV resistant and splash-water protected, but the RJ45 connectors are not sealed — keep the plug ends inside a weatherproof box or housing.
Is the equip 605115 suitable for PoE outdoor cameras?
Yes. equip specifies PoE and PoE+ support, and the 1.5 m length suits the final link from an outdoor junction box to a camera or access point.
What is the difference between this outdoor cable and a standard Cat 6A patch cable?
A standard patch cable has a PVC or LSZH jacket meant for indoor use. The 605115 uses a UV- and oil-resistant LDPE jacket and is rated from −40 °C to +65 °C, so it survives outdoor exposure.
Singular Expert Insight
Indoor patch cords degrade quickly in Cyprus sun — the jacket hardens and cracks within a season. The 605115 is the right fix for short outdoor drops to cameras, access points and bridges; for long outdoor runs use outdoor installation cable and terminate it in a box. Connect it back to your PoE network switches for power and data on one cable.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if
You need a short, UV-resistant 10 Gbps / PoE+ link for an outdoor camera, access point or bridge.
Skip it if
The cable stays indoors — a standard LSZH patch cord is cheaper and fire-safer for buildings.
Also consider
A longer equip outdoor Cat 6A cable for runs beyond 1.5 m, or outdoor installation cable for permanent links.
