The EFB-Elektronik O0350.15 is a 15 m duplex OS2 singlemode fibre patch cord with LC on one end and LC on the other, for connecting singlemode LR/LX/BiDi transceivers, switches, media converters and patch panels. OS2 singlemode (9/125 µm) is the fibre for long-reach optics at 1310/1550 nm — LR, LX, ER and BiDi transceivers, building backbones, FTTH and carrier hand-offs.
Both ends: LC — the small latching connector used by SFP, SFP+ and SFP28 transceivers and most modern patch panels.

What It Means in Practice
- Duplex means two fibres side by side, one transmit and one receive. The cord crosses Tx to Rx for you; if a link stays dark after patching, swap the two connectors on one end — it is the most common fibre patching mistake.
- 15 m is the right length between racks in a row, or from the rack to a fibre outlet across the room. Order the shortest length that reaches without tension — excess fibre has to be coiled in the cable manager.
- Route the cord with gentle bends and keep it away from sharp edges and door hinges; fibre loses light when bent too tightly.
- LSZH jacket — low smoke, zero halogen — the expected choice for offices, server rooms and public buildings.
- Keep the dust caps on until the moment you plug in. A dirty ferrule is the number one cause of high loss; clean the end faces if the ports have been left open.
What Will Not Work
- Multimode optics (SR, SX) — they need an OM3/OM4 multimode cord; singlemode fibre does not substitute.
- Ports with SC, ST, MTP/MPO connectors — this cord terminates in LC on both ends only.
- Copper RJ45 ports — fibre needs an SFP/fibre port or a media converter on each side.
