The Good Connections LW-SA901LALA is a 1 m simplex singlemode fibre optic patch cable (OS2, 9/125 µm) with LC/APC on one end and LC/APC on the other, made for APC (angled-polish) connections such as FTTH/GPON fibre outlets, ONTs and CATV/RF-over-fibre equipment.
The fibre is bend-insensitive G.657.A2 (minimum bend radius 7.5 mm) in a 2.0 mm yellow, flame-retardant LSZH jacket with strain-relief boots. Every cable is 100% tested after assembly and comes with dust caps and its own measurement report.
Before you order: Both ends are APC (angled polish, green connectors). APC only mates with APC: do not plug it into a UPC (blue) port or coupler — the link will fail and the end faces can be damaged. Check the port colour on your ONT, outlet or panel first.

What It Means in Practice
- Connect a LC/APC fibre outlet (building entry point or wall socket) to an ONT or fibre modem with a LC/APC port.
- Use it in FTTx distribution or in the data centre wherever APC simplex patching is required.
- G.657.A2 fibre tolerates a 7.5 mm bend radius, so tight routes behind furniture or in small boxes are not a problem.
- Keep the dust caps on until the moment you plug in, and never look into a connected fibre end — singlemode and multimode transmitters use invisible infrared light.
What Will Not Work
- UPC (blue) ports and couplers — APC and UPC end faces are not interchangeable.
- Duplex SFP/SFP+ modules that need two fibres — this is simplex (one fibre); you would need two cords or a duplex cable.
- Multimode equipment (OM1–OM4, SX optics) — this is singlemode OS2 only.
- SC/APC ports — both ends are LC; choose an LC/APC–SC/APC cord for SC equipment.

On fibre broadband the most common problem we see is not the cable but the polish: APC (green) and UPC (blue) look alike and fit the same port. This Good Connections cable is APC at both ends and individually tested, so it is a safe choice for the outlet-to-ONT connection of a fibre line. For business links between switches with SFP/SFP+ ports, use duplex UPC cords instead.
