The EFB-Elektronik O0319.20 is a 20 m LC to LC duplex fibre optic patch cable with OM4 multimode 50/125 µm fibre and a 2 mm LSZH jacket, for connecting switches, servers and patch panels in data centres and structured cabling.
Each cable ships with an individual measurement report and two duplex clips, and EFB publishes the optical values: insertion loss ≤0.25 dB and return loss ≥35 dB at 850 nm. The heather-violet jacket marks it as OM4.
Before you order: this is a multimode OM4 cable with LC PC/UPC connectors. It works with SR (850 nm) multimode optics; it is not for single-mode (OS2) optics or LC/APC ports.

What It Means in Practice
- The LC connectors fit SFP/SFP+ transceivers and LC patch panels directly.
- IEEE specifies OM4 for 10GBASE-SR up to 400 m and 40G/100G SR4 up to 150 m; 20 m is well inside that.
- The two duplex clips let you join or separate the pair — swap A/B on one end if the link stays dark.
- Bending radius: keep it above 10× the cable diameter when fixed and 20× when moved (about 20 mm and 40 mm for this 2 mm cable).
What Will Not Work
- Single-mode optics (LR, ER) or OS2 cabling — use yellow single-mode patch cords.
- LC/APC ports (angled, usually green) — PC and APC end faces must never be mated.
- Empty SFP cages or copper ports — the switch needs a multimode SFP/SFP+ transceiver fitted.
- Outdoor runs — this is an indoor LSZH cable (I-V(ZN)H construction).
