The Intellinet 712194 is an M6 cage nut set with 20 cage nuts, 20 M6 screws and 20 washers in carbon steel, for mounting equipment, panels and shelves in 19-inch and 10-inch network cabinets and server racks.
Square-hole rack rails need a cage nut in every hole that takes a screw, and most cabinets ship with only a handful. Twenty complete sets cover five devices or panels at four screws each, or give you a stock of spares for moves and additions. Nut, screw and washer all come in the same pack, so every position in the rack is fixed the same way.
Before you order: These are M6 parts. They fit racks with square mounting holes that take M6 cage nuts, which is the most common type; racks with M5 or threaded rails need different hardware.

What It Means in Practice

What Will Not Work
- Racks with round or threaded holes: these do not use cage nuts.
- M5 cage nut racks: the thread is M6.
- Supporting heavy devices on the front ears alone: use shelves or rails for heavy equipment.
