The EFB-Elektronik K5525FRT.0.25 is a 0.25-metre Cat 6A S/FTP patch cord in red, rated for 10 Gigabit Ethernet at 500 MHz and built on Cat 7 raw cable with a TPE superflex jacket. At a quarter of a metre it is a rack cable: patch panel to switch port in the same U, switch to switch in a stack, or server NIC to a top-of-rack port, where a standard 1 m lead would leave a loop of slack to manage. The AWG26/7 stranded conductors and TPE sheath bend tightly without kinking, the shield terminates through a 360-degree contact, and the flame-retardant, low-smoke, halogen-free construction suits enclosed cabinets and comms rooms. Red makes it easy to colour-code a VLAN, an uplink or a management port. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Two points to check before ordering. First, 0.25 m is very short — it is intended for equipment in the same rack unit or immediately adjacent; measure the real path, including any cable management arm, before assuming it will reach. Second, the performance class is Cat 6A (IEC): the raw cable is Cat 7 stock, which gives extra headroom, but the RJ45 connectors cap the channel at Cat 6A — a true Cat 7 channel needs GG45 or TERA connectors, not RJ45. It is a 1:1 straight-through cable wired to TIA/EIA 568B, not a crossover. The S/FTP shielding only delivers its EMC benefit if the outlets and switch ports are shielded and the installation is properly earthed; it still works in an unshielded environment, you simply do not get the screening advantage. Rated IP20 — indoor rack, cabinet and office use only. Backwards compatible with Cat 5e and Cat 6 equipment.

Certified to the Cat 6A (IEC) class with a 500 MHz frequency range, which is what 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper requires. The S/FTP construction — individually foiled pairs inside an overall braid screen — raises immunity to crosstalk and outside interference, the usual limiting factor when dozens of cables run in parallel inside a cabinet.
Superflex TPE built for tight rack bends
AWG26/7 stranded conductors in a 6.5 mm round TPE jacket, with an injected anti-kink grommet at each connector and a locking-lever protection guard so the latch does not snag or snap on the way out of a dense patch field. EFB rates the connectors for at least 750 mating cycles, and the length is printed on the cable.
LSZH fire safety and full PoE support
Flame-retardant to IEC60332-1, low-smoke to IEC61034 and halogen-free to IEC60754-2 — the combination usually specified for enclosed comms rooms and escape routes. The cable carries PoE to IEEE802.3af, PoE+ to IEEE802.3at and 4PPoE to IEEE802.3bt, so it will feed access points, cameras and phones as well as data.

The reason to buy a 0.25 m patch cord is cable management, not price: in a dense cabinet, replacing 1 m leads with quarter-metre ones between adjacent panels and switches removes the loops that block airflow and make port tracing miserable. The superflex TPE version is the right choice for that job — ordinary PVC Cat 6A at this length is stiff enough to put strain on the socket. Do keep the marketing in perspective: the Cat 7 raw cable is genuine headroom, but the cord is a Cat 6A channel, and buying it expecting a Cat 7 installation would be a mistake. Colour-coding is the other quiet win — red for uplinks or management, another colour per VLAN, and the rack documents itself. Skip it if
You need to reach anything more than about 25 cm away, which is most desk and wall-outlet situations; your installation is unshielded throughout, where a cheaper U/UTP Cat 6A cord performs the same; or you specifically need a certified Cat 7 channel, which RJ45 connectors cannot provide.

Longer versions of the same K5525F superflex family in 0.5 m, 1 m, 2 m and up; the same cord in grey, blue, green or yellow for VLAN colour-coding; or a plain PVC Cat 6A patch cord where the extra flexibility and LSZH jacket are not required.
