EFB-Elektronik DisplayPort 1.2 Cable — 10 m, Male to Male, 4K 60 Hz, Black

4K 4096 × 2160 at 60 HzDisplayPort 1.210 mLatching connectors

The EFB-Elektronik K5560SW.10 is a 10-metre DisplayPort 1.2 cable with a full-size latching DisplayPort plug at each end, rated by EFB for resolutions up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz. It is built for permanent installations where the source and the screen are far apart — a PC in a rack or cabinet feeding a meeting-room display, a lectern to a wall-mounted panel, or a workstation under a desk driving a monitor across the room. Foil plus braid shielding over bare-copper conductors, gold-plated contacts and a 360-degree shielded moulded housing keep the signal clean over the run, and the locking latches stop the plug working loose. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Both ends are standard full-size DisplayPort male with a locking latch — press the release button before pulling, or you will damage the socket. This is not Mini DisplayPort and not USB-C, and it is a direct cable, not an adapter. As a DisplayPort 1.2 (HBR2) cable it covers 4K at 60 Hz, 1440p at up to 144 Hz and 1080p at up to 240 Hz, but it does not carry the DisplayPort 1.4 feature set — no Display Stream Compression, no HDR metadata and no 8K. Pin 20 (DP_PWR) is deliberately not connected, which is the safe wiring: it prevents faults when a source or display incorrectly puts power on that pin. Ten metres is the long end for passive copper at 4K 60 Hz, so run it directly from source to display — avoid stacking couplers, switches or adapters in the middle, and if a marginal source drops the link, step down to 1440p or 30 Hz to confirm before assuming the cable is faulty.

Key Features

DisplayPort 1.2 at 4K 60 Hz over 10 metres
EFB rates this exact 10 m length for up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz, not just the short versions of the family. HBR2 signalling gives 21.6 Gbps of link bandwidth, which is also enough for 2560 × 1440 at 144 Hz or 1080p at 240 Hz on a gaming panel.

Built for a permanent run
Foil plus braid shielding, bare copper conductors and a PVC jacket, with a 360-degree shielded moulded housing at each end. Gold-plated plugs and contacts resist tarnishing in a socket that may never be unplugged again, and the moulded strain relief survives being pulled through trunking or a cable tray.

Latching plugs and safe pin-20 wiring
The DisplayPort latches hold the plug in place behind a wall-mounted screen or in a rack where nobody can see it working loose. Pin 20 (DP_PWR) is left unconnected — the configuration that avoids the well-known conflict where both the source and the monitor try to drive that line. HDCP 1.3 and DPCP are supported for protected content.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this cable really do 4K at 60 Hz over 10 metres?
EFB rates this 10 m version for up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz, and the construction backs it up: foil plus braid shielding, bare copper conductors and 360-degree shielded housings. Run it directly from the source to the display rather than through couplers, KVM switches or adapters, since each extra junction in a 10 m DisplayPort 1.2 link eats into the signal margin.
Does it support HDR or 8K?
No. This is a DisplayPort 1.2 cable, so it handles up to 4K at 60 Hz with HDCP 1.3. HDR metadata, Display Stream Compression and 8K arrived with DisplayPort 1.4 and later, and need both a 1.4-class cable and 1.4-class hardware at each end.
What does it mean that pin 20 is not connected?
Pin 20 is the DP_PWR line. On some cables it is wired through, which can cause a conflict if the source and the display both try to power it, leading to no picture or even damage. EFB leaves it unconnected on this cable, which is the safer and more widely compatible configuration for a normal PC-to-monitor connection.
Singular Expert Insight
Length is the thing to get right with DisplayPort. Ten metres of passive copper at 4K 60 Hz works when the cable is properly built — which this one is, with braid-over-foil shielding and moulded 360-degree housings — but the margin is finite, so plan the run as a single direct cable and resist adding a coupler or switch halfway. If you only need to cross a desk, the 2 m or 3 m version of the same K5560SW family is the sensible buy and costs a fraction of this. And if the display needs HDR, 8K or a high-refresh 4K panel, this is the wrong generation: look for a DisplayPort 1.4 cable instead. See the rest of our DisplayPort cables for other lengths and versions, and our PC monitors range if you are specifying the screen at the same time.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if
You need a long, permanent DisplayPort run — PC in a cabinet or rack to a wall-mounted or ceiling-fed display, lectern to panel, or desk to a monitor across the room — at up to 4K 60 Hz, and you want latching plugs and proper shielding rather than a thin unbranded cable.
Skip it if
Your screen needs HDR, 8K or 4K above 60 Hz, which require DisplayPort 1.4 hardware and cabling; your source or display uses Mini DisplayPort or USB-C rather than full-size DisplayPort; or the distance is only a couple of metres, where a shorter K5560SW cable is cheaper and has more signal margin.
Also consider
The 0.5 m, 1 m, 2 m, 3 m or 5 m versions of the same K5560SW cable for shorter runs; a DisplayPort 1.4 cable if you need HDR, 8K or high-refresh 4K; or an active or fibre-optic DisplayPort cable if you have to go significantly beyond 10 metres.
