ABUS TVIP84562 — 4 MPx IP PoE Wi-Fi PTZ Mini Dome Camera
4 MPx 2560 x 14404x optical zoomWi-Fi or PoEIP66 · IK10
The ABUS TVIP84562 is a 4-megapixel PTZ mini dome IP camera from the ABUS professional video surveillance range, with 4x optical zoom, PoE and Wi-Fi, for shops, offices, warehouses and residential projects that need one camera to cover a wide area.
The motorised 2.8–12 mm lens zooms in on faces or number plates without losing resolution, the head pans 355° and tilts 90°, and the dome is IP66 weather-proof and IK10 vandal-resistant for indoor or outdoor ceiling and wall mounting.
Before you order: Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only (802.11 b/g/n) — it will not join a 5 GHz-only network. The free ABUS Link Station Lite app limits live streaming to 60 minutes per month; unlimited viewing needs the paid Pro version or an NVR.
What's in the Box
- TVIP84562 camera
- microSD card not included
What It Means in Practice
- 300 presets and 8 privacy zones let you patrol fixed points and mask neighbours' windows.
- People and vehicle detection reduces false alarms from leaves, rain or animals.
- Built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way talk at a gate or door.
- Record to a microSD card up to 512 GB in the camera, or to an NVR or NAS on the network.
- PoE (802.3af) means one network cable carries power and data; 12 V DC is the alternative.
What Will Not Work
- 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks — the camera supports 2.4 GHz only.
- Continuous unlimited remote live view with the free Lite app (60 min/month).
- ONVIF is not stated by ABUS — do not assume third-party NVR compatibility without checking.
- The camera has no built-in battery and needs PoE or a 12 V supply (power adapter not listed in the box).

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A single PTZ camera with real optical zoom can replace two or three fixed cameras in an open area, as long as you accept that it looks in one direction at a time. The TVIP84562 combines that with Wi-Fi, PoE and local microSD recording. See all our IP cameras if you prefer fixed cameras with full-time coverage.
✓ Buy it if you want one weather-proof camera to watch and zoom across a yard, shop floor or car park, with app control.
✕ Skip it if you only have 5 GHz Wi-Fi, need ONVIF-confirmed third-party NVR support or need several areas covered at the same time.
→ Also consider ABUS IPCS84512 (same published specifications, ABUS consumer line).
Not sure it fits your network or recorder? Send us your router or NVR model and we will check compatibility before you order.
