ABUS 8-Channel Network Video Recorder (NVR), 8 MP 4K Cameras, 2 HDD Bays up to 16 TB each, HDMI 4K, Alarm I/O

The ABUS NVR10021 is a 8-channel network video recorder (NVR) from the ABUS professional range that records up to eight IP cameras at 8 MP (4K) onto two internal hard drives of up to 16 TB each — aimed at shops, offices and small commercial sites that need longer retention and alarm integration.

Compared with the compact ABUS TVVR models it adds a second drive bay, much higher bandwidth (80 Mbit/s in, 256 Mbit/s out), USB 3.0, two Gigabit network ports, four alarm inputs and a relay output, plus person/vehicle AI on all 8 channels with suitable ABUS cameras.

• Two drives of up to 16 TB each give up to 32 TB of recording space; the drives run as separate volumes (ABUS lists no RAID).
• Decoding up to 64 MP on the local monitor (40 MP with recorder AI on) — enough to show all 8 cameras at 8 MP at the same time.
• Four alarm inputs (NO/NC) and a 12 V relay output let a door contact or PIR start recording and switch a siren or light.
• Two network ports allow the cameras to sit on a separate network from the office LAN.
• Person/vehicle filtering on all 8 channels cuts false alarms from leaves, rain and animals (ABUS cameras from 2022, see the ABUS compatibility list).

• Cameras are not powered by the recorder — no PoE. Choose the NVR10021P or add a PoE switch.
• No hybrid mode — analogue BNC cameras cannot be connected.
• Third-party cameras work only through RTSP or those on the ABUS compatibility list; full feature support is not guaranteed.
• Not a silent unit — it has an integrated fan, so avoid quiet living spaces.
