A local camera and monitor system without internet

3 MP videoNo internet/appPIR + motion detectionIP66 camera

The ABUS PPDF17000 EasyLook is a local surveillance kit with one PPDF17520 fixed-view camera and a 7-inch touchscreen monitor. It sends 3 MP video and two-way audio over an encrypted camera-to-monitor radio link, without internet, home Wi-Fi, a smartphone or an app. The camera needs continuous adapter power; wireless refers to video transmission.

Before you order:
The monitor handles up to 4 cameras in total, not four cameras in this package. Add a Class 10 microSD card up to 128 GB for local recording. Adding a PPDF17620 pan/tilt camera requires monitor firmware higher than v3.1.9.8.19M.

What's in the Box

  • 1 × 7-inch monitor and 1 × PPDF17520 camera; 2 × 12 V DC / 1 A adapters and 2 antennas.
  • Mounting materials, drill template, quick guide and safety information. microSD card separate.

What It Means in Practice

  • For another entrance or a garden view, power the camera and use the monitor’s camera menu to pair it. Test the live signal at the proposed position before drilling: walls and layout affect the stated 20–50 m radio range. Aim the fixed camera and its 8 m PIR zone at the route you want to detect.

What Will Not Work

  • Remote smartphone viewing or joining the camera directly to a home Wi-Fi router.
  • Battery-only camera operation. The portable battery is in the monitor; it does not power the outdoor camera.

Key Features

Direct local video
The dedicated encrypted radio link works without internet or an app. A compatible monitor provides live view and settings.

PIR-assisted fixed view
The fixed camera combines an 82° horizontal view with an 8 m, 85° PIR sensor and software motion/person detection.

Night viewing and conversation
IR LEDs provide monochrome night vision up to 15 m; built-in microphone and speaker enable intercom through the monitor.

Local recording and privacy
The monitor records to a separate microSD card up to 128 GB. Configure schedules, motion areas, four privacy zones and recording audio.

Singular Expert Insight
Choose EasyLook when a nearby dedicated screen is more useful than smartphone access. Confirm power and radio reception at the actual site, then plan recording-card capacity and camera views. The fixed camera is useful for a defined entrance route; its PIR range is distinct from how far objects remain visible. See the matching additional camera
