Start with a camera, indoor base and local USB recording

3 MP videoPIR detectionTwo-way audioIP65

The ABUS PPIC91000 is a starter kit with one rechargeable Battery Cam Pro camera, its base station and USB recording storage. The camera sends 3 MP video wirelessly to the base, with person detection, two-way audio and colour night vision using a visible white LED. The camera can work without a nearby power outlet; the indoor base needs mains power and a wired LAN connection to your router.

Before you order:
Use App2Cam Plus on Android/iOS and a router with LAN; internet is required for remote access. The base and its 12 V adapter are included. Camera charging uses a separate 5 V / 2 A USB supply with the included cable. Up to 4 Battery Cam Pro cameras can share this base; extra cameras and solar panel are separate. ABUS declares minimum security-update support until 2026-11-28; check the current commitment for long-term use.

What's in the Box

  • 1 Battery Cam Pro camera, 1 antenna, 1 base station and 1 base adapter (12 V DC, 1 A).
  • 1 USB flash drive, 1 network cable (1.5 m) and 1 USB-A to USB-C cable.
  • 1 wall bracket, 2 sets of mounting materials, 1 reset tool and 1 drilling template each for camera and base.

What It Means in Practice

  • Connect the base to your router by LAN, insert the included USB storage and connect its power adapter. Charge the camera, add the system through App2Cam Plus and test reception before mounting. For an entrance, aim detection at the route people take within 8 m; more distant people may appear live without triggering recording.

What Will Not Work

  • Placing the base outdoors or using it without mains and a LAN connection to the router.
  • Expecting PIR-triggered recording beyond 8 m or invisible infrared lighting. Permanent USB-cable camera operation is indoor-only because the open cover removes weather protection.

Best For

✓ Starting rechargeable camera coverage at an entrance without running a power cable to the camera.
✓ Local USB recordings indoors, expandable to four cameras at the base.

Key Features

3 MP with colour at night
The 120° horizontal view covers an entrance area. A visible white LED lights the scene for colour night vision; this model has no infrared LED.

Detection with a defined working zone
PIR detection reaches up to 8 m across 112°. Person detection and push notifications help you check events, while the microphone and speaker support conversation.

Rechargeable, with optional solar support
Recharge through USB-C or add the separately sold PPIC91600 solar panel. Up to 6 months is based on about 4 recordings/accesses per day; frequent viewing, temperature and radio conditions reduce runtime.

Storage and privacy at the system level
Recordings use a USB drive at the base, with no obligatory subscription. Configure three privacy zones and choose the retention period suited to your installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this differ from PPIC91520?
PPIC91000 starts the system with one camera, base, base power adapter and USB storage. PPIC91520 is an additional camera requiring an existing compatible base.
Is everything wireless and battery powered?
The camera communicates wirelessly and uses a rechargeable battery. The included base stays indoors on its 12 V adapter and connects to the router by LAN. A separate 5 V / 2 A USB supply is needed to recharge the camera.
Does the battery always last six months?
No. The stated maximum assumes about four recordings/accesses daily. Longer or more frequent use, temperature and radio distance affect the charging interval.
Singular Expert Insight
Plan the base location as carefully as the camera view: it needs indoor power and wired networking while remaining within reliable camera radio range. Test the PIR route before fixing the bracket. Person recognition helps reduce unwanted alerts, but the manual says detection accuracy depends on the scene and cannot exclude every false alarm. Plan your camera system with Singular
