Place the camera antenna where reception is better
2.4 / 5 GHz5 dB antenna2 m cableIP66
The ABUS TVAC17530 is an antenna upgrade kit for specified wireless camera models. Its 5 dB dual-band antenna replaces the original camera antenna, while the included 2 m cable lets you position it away from an obstruction, around a corner or through a suitable wall route. This is an antenna, cable and bracket kit; a camera, receiver or Wi-Fi router is not included.
Before you order:
Check the exact camera model and detachable antenna connection before ordering. ABUS lists PPIC42520, EasyLook BasicSet PPDF17000 and its additional camera PPDF17520 among matching products. Do not assume every ABUS or third-party camera is compatible merely because it uses Wi-Fi. This kit changes antenna placement/reception; it does not create a new Wi-Fi network.
What's in the Box
- 1 omnidirectional 2.4/5 GHz 5 dB antenna and 1 RP-SMA cable, 2 m.
- 1 wall bracket, screws and dowels. Camera and network equipment separate.
What It Means in Practice
- For example, when metalwork or masonry shields the camera antenna, remove the original antenna, connect the kit cable and mount the replacement antenna at a clearer nearby point. Check reception in the intended position before completing the installation.
- Improved local reception cannot repair a slow or unstable remote internet connection. For app access away from home, the manufacturer also requires a stable mobile or Wi-Fi connection at the viewing device.
What Will Not Work
- No guaranteed extra distance is specified: walls, metal, furniture, layout and the receiving device affect the result.
- A fixed antenna or incompatible connector requires a different solution; this kit is not a universal camera adapter.
Key Features
Antenna placement flexibility
The 2 m cable moves the antenna away from the camera body to help work around local signal obstructions.
Dual-band omnidirectional antenna
The 2.4/5 GHz antenna has a manufacturer gain rating of 5 dB and 360° horizontal coverage.
Outdoor-ready mounting kit
IP66 weather protection, bracket and supplied fixing materials support indoor or outdoor positioning in a suitable location.

Singular Expert Insight
Use this kit when the camera itself is correctly located for its view but its antenna is obstructed. The 2 m separation can be more useful than moving the whole camera. Verify the RP-SMA connection and exact ABUS model first; for a long-range site design, assess the complete radio path instead of assuming a 5 dB antenna guarantees a particular distance.
