The white ABUS SmartLook Pan & Tilt PPIC52520 is a powered outdoor camera for checking your entrance, driveway or garden from App2Cam Plus on an Android or iOS phone. Use the app to turn the camera, recall three viewing positions and speak to a visitor through its microphone and loudspeaker. It records in 4K to the included microSD card, connects through 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and includes a power adapter. No camera subscription is required.

Before you order:
Plan a nearby mains outlet for the supplied 5 V adapter and suitable network coverage. Wi-Fi carries data; it does not remove the power cable. Use App2Cam Plus on Android/iOS for setup and operation. This is the motorised pan/tilt model with intercom.

What It Means in Practice

  • For example, choose person notifications for an entrance, then review the saved event and up to five seconds before its trigger. Detection settings determine which alerts reach your phone.
  • A lower live-view quality can help on a slower remote connection; the manual states that saved recordings remain in 4K.
  • Recall a preset to check a second part of the yard; pan/tilt changes the direction rather than showing every direction at once.

What Will Not Work

  • Operation without the supplied external power source.
  • Integration with Secoris, Secvest or wAppLoxx is not supported.
  • Do not place the camera behind glass for IR night viewing: reflected infrared light can obscure the image.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a monthly camera subscription?
No. ABUS provides the camera functions through the free App2Cam Plus app, with recordings on the included microSD card.
Why is remote live view less detailed than a saved clip?
Live-view quality can be reduced to suit the connection. The manual says this setting does not change the recording, which is saved in 4K.
Can I speak to a delivery driver?
Yes. The pan/tilt model has a microphone and loudspeaker for two-way communication through the app.
