Open to monitor, close for privacy

Physical privacy flap180° viewFull HDmicroSD included

The ABUS PPIC31020 is one mains-powered indoor camera with a physical privacy flap. Open it to view the room in Full HD through App2Cam Plus; close it completely so the magnetic flap covers the lens and automatically disables the microphone and Wi-Fi. The package includes a power adapter, microSD card and wired-network adapter. No separate camera base station is required.

Before you order:
Use App2Cam Plus on Android/iOS and an encrypted Wi-Fi network, or the supplied LAN adapter. The Wi-Fi password is limited to 31 characters by the guide. Privacy mode starts only when the flap is fully closed in magnetic contact; recordings and app access stop. ABUS declares security-update support at least until 2026-11-26; verify the current support horizon before a long-term installation.

What's in the Box

  • 1 x PPIC31020 camera and 1 x preinstalled microSD card (capacity not specified)
  • 1 x 5 V DC / 2 A power supply and 1 x Micro USB–RJ45 adapter
  • 1 x wall bracket, mounting materials, drilling template and microSD removal tool
  • 2 x anti-slip pads

What It Means in Practice

  • Place it on a shelf or fix the bracket to a wall, connect power and add it through the app using Bluetooth-assisted setup. When leaving home, open the flap and enable motion alerts. On returning, close it fully to place the camera in privacy mode. The 180° view covers a wide room, while motion detection is specified up to 4 m.

What Will Not Work

  • Outdoor or battery-powered installation.
  • Live app access or recording with the privacy flap fully closed.

Best For

✓ Indoor rooms where a visible physical privacy control matters
✓ Shelf or wall installations with Wi-Fi or wired LAN available

Key Features

Physical privacy control
The textile-look magnetic flap provides a visible state: fully closed means the lens is covered, with microphone and Wi-Fi off. Opening the flap restores camera operation.

Wide Full HD view
The 180° horizontal and 100° vertical view captures a wide room. IR night vision reaches up to 10 m, with automatic day/night switching.

Local recording with pre-event context
The included microSD card starts local storage. Record manually or on motion, with up to three seconds of pre-recording, five privacy zones and selectable automatic retention.

App and flexible network connection
Use dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi or the included 10/100 LAN adapter. The app offers live video, digital zoom, alerts and two-way audio without a separate base station.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the cover only hide the lens?
No. Fully closing it in magnetic contact also disables the microphone and Wi-Fi. In privacy mode there is no app access or image/sound recording.
Is 128 GB included?
A microSD card is included, but its supplied capacity is not stated by the verified guide. 128 GB is the maximum supported capacity; use at least Class10.
Does Wi-Fi mean it needs no power cable?
No. Wi-Fi carries data; the included 5 V power supply still powers the camera.
