The Ergotron 98-730-292 replaces the desktop mounting point of a compatible LX Pro arm with a black wall-mounted base. It suits installations where the monitor should be supported from a sturdy vertical surface rather than the desk. This package is the base and its installation hardware: the monitor arm and display are separate items.

Before you order:
Check that the arm is LX Pro: legacy LX and other Ergotron ranges do not fit. The included wall fasteners cover wood studs or solid concrete, not direct attachment to steel studs. Check the wall structure and complete arm load limits before choosing the mounting location.

Is this a complete monitor arm?
No. It is the wall mount base conversion kit. A compatible LX Pro arm and monitor are required separately.
Can I attach it directly to a steel stud with the supplied screws?
The manufacturer says direct metal-stud fasteners are not included and recommends Steel Stud Wall Mounting Kit 60-591-003. Confirm the wall construction before ordering.
Does it work with the original LX range?
No. LX Pro components are incompatible with legacy LX and other product lines.
