The Acer Vero PL2535i is a laser DLP projector with native 1920 × 1080 resolution and 5500 ANSI lumens, built for meeting rooms, classrooms and training spaces that need a large, bright image without lamp changes.
It takes two HDMI sources and a VGA laptop, and the UWA5 wireless adapter in the box lets presenters share a laptop or phone screen without a cable. The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours in standard mode and 30,000 hours in eco mode, and Acer rates the projector for 24/7 operation.
Before you order: The native resolution is 1920 × 1080. The HDMI 2.0 input accepts 4K (3840 × 2160) signals, but the image is projected at Full HD, not native 4K.

What It Means in Practice
- Placement: with a 1.12–1.47:1 throw ratio, a 100-inch 16:9 image needs the lens roughly 2.5–3.2 m from the screen; Acer quotes an 81-inch image at 2 m. The 1.3× zoom lets you fine-tune image size without moving the projector.
- Brightness: 5500 ANSI lumens is enough for a large image in a room where the lights stay on or the blinds are only partly closed. Eco mode drops to 4400 lumens, lowers power from 210 W to 160 W and extends the rated light-source life.
- Running cost: a laser light source means no lamp to buy or replace. For continuous use, Acer recommends 30 minutes in standby once every seven days.
- Sources: use the HDMI 2.0 port (HDCP 2.2) for 4K-output laptops, media players and streaming sticks; the second port is HDMI 1.4b. Older laptops can connect via VGA.
- Wireless: plug the UWA5 adapter into the dedicated USB port, then share a screen with EZCast, Miracast or Google Cast from a compatible laptop or phone on the same network.
- Set-up: vertical keystone corrects automatically (±30°), horizontal is manual (±30°) and 4-corner adjustment squares the image on difficult walls. A square-on installation still gives the sharpest picture.
- Room control: RS232 connects to room control systems, and a 3.5 mm audio out feeds external speakers when the built-in 15 W speaker is not enough for the room.
What Will Not Work
- USB playback: neither USB-A port plays files from a flash drive. One is 5 V/1.5 A power output (e.g. for a streaming stick), the other is reserved for the wireless adapter.
- USB-C or DisplayPort laptops: there is no USB-C or DisplayPort input. Laptops with only USB-C need a USB-C to HDMI adapter.
- Short throw: this is a standard-throw lens, so it cannot fill a large screen from close to the wall. For 100 inches you need about 2.5 m of distance.
- 3D: 3D playback needs Acer DLP 3D shutter glasses and 3D content. Glasses are not included.
- Screen and mount: no projection screen or ceiling bracket is included.
