The Active Key AK-C8100 MedicalKey (AK-C8100F-U1-W/US) is a full-size hygiene keyboard for hospitals, clinics, laboratories and food or industrial environments: a seamless silicone key membrane seals the key field against dirt and fluids so the whole keyboard can be wipe-disinfected, and a CleanFunction switches the keys off while you clean. Keys use a scissor mechanism with about 2.5 mm travel and 60 g force, so it types like a notebook keyboard rather than a rubber mat. This part number is the wired USB version in US International layout and white.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Layout: US International QWERTY is the layout most people in Cyprus type on: wide Enter key, @ above 2. If your current keyboard is UK layout, the Enter key changes shape and a few symbols move, but letters and numbers are identical. The wired version plugs into a USB-A port and draws power from it; no batteries. Active Key offers the same model as a standard wipe-disinfection version and as a fully sealed IP68 version for submersion and machine reprocessing under a different part number — this part number is the standard wipe-disinfection version, so do not put it in a washer-disinfector. Active Key states it is not a medical device under MDR 2017/745; it is a hygiene keyboard that meets EN 60601-1-2:2015 for use near medical equipment.
