The ALOGIC U3-TCC10-MM-H is a 10-metre USB-C to USB-C hybrid active optical cable that carries USB 3.2 Gen 2 data at 10Gbps, DisplayPort video up to 4K at 60Hz and up to 60W of USB Power Delivery, built for meeting rooms, classrooms and AV installs where a normal 1–2 m USB-C cable cannot reach. It combines copper conductors with multimode optical fibre inside a 6.5 mm jacket, so the signal stays clean at a distance where passive USB-C cables fail.
Typical uses are a laptop at the lectern driving a display or USB-C touch panel on the far wall, a conference-room PC linked to a USB-C camera or dock, or a desktop tucked away from the workspace. The zinc-alloy connector housings and Kevlar-reinforced construction are designed for repeated handling and installation pulls.
Compatibility Note: Video travels in one direction only, so the cable must be installed the right way round (source end at the computer, display end at the monitor); data and charging work in both directions. The host USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video and USB PD for charging (up to 60W, not 100W laptop charging). The cable draws a small amount of power from the host port (VCONN) to run its optics.

Does the ALOGIC U3-TCC10-MM-H work with Thunderbolt and USB4 laptops?
Yes, as a USB-C device: Thunderbolt 3/4 and USB4 ports normally provide DisplayPort Alt Mode, USB data and PD charging, so video, 10Gbps data and up to 60W charging work. It is not a Thunderbolt cable, so Thunderbolt-only devices such as Thunderbolt docks or PCIe enclosures will fall back to USB speeds or not connect.
Can I charge my laptop through this cable?
Yes, up to 60W (20V/3A). That covers most ultrabooks and tablets; larger laptops that expect 90–100W will charge more slowly or only maintain their battery under load.
Which length should I choose?
Measure the actual route including ceiling or floor detours and add some slack. ALOGIC makes the same hybrid cable in 5, 10 and 15 m; choose the shortest that reaches, as extra length adds weight (720 g for this 10 m version) and bulk in conduit.
