AOC GAMING 24G50F — 23.8" Full HD IPS Gaming Monitor, 180Hz (OC), 0.5 ms MPRT
23.8" IPS · 1920x1080144Hz native · 180Hz OC0.5 ms MPRT · 4 ms GtGHDMI 2.0 + DP 1.4
The AOC GAMING 24G50F is a 23.8-inch Full HD IPS gaming monitor with a 144Hz native refresh rate that can be overclocked to 180Hz, 0.5 ms MPRT response and Adaptive-Sync, for players who want smooth esports-style gameplay on a compact, affordable screen.
The IPS panel gives 178° viewing angles and 300 cd/m² brightness with a 1500:1 static contrast ratio, and the anti-glare matte finish keeps reflections down. It connects over HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.4, is NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, and supports MBR Sync, which combines motion blur reduction with variable refresh. The stand tilts and has cable management; the panel is VESA 100 for monitor arms.
Before you order: 180Hz is an overclock mode — 144Hz is native. There are no USB or USB-C ports, so a laptop must have HDMI or DisplayPort (or a USB-C to DP/HDMI adapter). The stand tilts only; for height adjustment use a VESA 100 arm.
What's in the Box
- AOC 24G50F monitor with stand
- External power adapter (19V DC)
- AOC does not publish the full EU cable list on the product page
What It Means in Practice
- At 1920x1080 on 23.8", a mid-range graphics card can reach 144–180 fps in esports titles, so the high refresh rate is actually usable.
- Adaptive-Sync and G-SYNC Compatible remove tearing when frame rate varies; MBR Sync reduces motion blur while variable refresh stays on.
- The 23.8" size keeps the whole screen in view in fast games and fits shallow desks.
- HDR Ready accepts HDR signals, but with 300 cd/m² and no DisplayHDR certification it is not a true HDR experience.
What Will Not Work
- No height, swivel or pivot on the stand — tilt only (-3° to 21°).
- No USB-C video input or USB hub.
- No built-in speakers are listed — use headphones on the audio out or external speakers.
- It is not for colour-critical photo work: colour gamut is listed as 85% NTSC and the panel is 6-bit + FRC.
- Not a 1440p or 4K monitor — text is less sharp than higher-resolution 24" or 27" screens.
