BUYER'S GUIDE
Who it's for: Video editors, motion graphics artists, developers and data scientists who want maximum M5 Pro performance with a larger 16.2" display — and who prefer working on a bigger screen without connecting an external monitor.
14" vs 16": The 16" M5 Pro has a more powerful 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU than the 14" M5 Pro's 15-core/16-core configuration. If you rarely use an external display, the 16" is worth the extra size for both the larger screen and the additional performance.
24GB is enough if: Your workflows involve video editing, development or AI inference. Step up to 48GB if you run large LLMs locally or handle very large multi-layer projects simultaneously.
Note on charger: EU/UK packaging does not include a power adapter. Budget for a 70W USB-C PD charger (96W for fast charging) separately.
