The Apple Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) Pro Cable MW5J3ZM/A is a 1.8-metre active cable that transfers data at up to 40Gb/s over Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 and USB4, carries DisplayPort (HBR3) video and delivers up to 100W of charging power, for connecting a Mac to a Studio Display, Pro Display XDR, Thunderbolt dock or fast external SSD. Being active, it keeps full Thunderbolt speed at a length where passive cables drop back.

The black braided jacket coils without tangling and it daisy-chains up to six Thunderbolt 3 devices. It also works as a USB 3.2 cable at up to 10Gb/s, and can connect an iPhone 15 Pro or later to a Mac.

Compatibility Note: 40Gb/s requires Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 ports at both ends; with USB 3.2 equipment it runs at up to 10Gb/s. 100W is the maximum charging level, so it does not support the 140W+ fast charging of some MacBook Pro models.
