Argus AS-22HA 2-Port Dual-Monitor HDMI KVM Switch

2 PCs → 2 HDMI monitors4K @ 30 HzAudio + mic switchingSteel housing

The Argus AS-22HA (Inter-Tech part number 88887243) is a 2-port dual-monitor HDMI KVM switch: two computers, each with two HDMI outputs, share a pair of HDMI displays, one USB keyboard and mouse, speakers and a microphone. It is built for extended-desktop users who switch between a work and a private PC, or between a workstation and a render or test machine.

Both screens switch together at the press of a front button, by keyboard hotkey or via auto-scan, and a front USB port moves a flash drive to the active computer. Two 1.7 m combo cables are supplied; the switch is powered by the PCs, with an optional 9 V input.

Compatibility note: Each computer needs two HDMI outputs (or suitable adapters) to use both screens. The HDMI cables from the switch to the two monitors are not included, and HDMI 1.4b limits 4K to 30 Hz.

Key Features

True dual-display switching
Four HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs keep both monitors of an extended desktop in sync when you switch, so window layouts stay where they were.

Switched audio and mic
Line and microphone signals from each PC follow the active computer; HDMI audio including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio is passed through.

Hotkeys, buttons or scan
Front buttons with LEDs, keyboard hotkeys (default Ctrl + Shift + N) and auto-scan cover desk use and monitoring alike.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the AS-22HA with only one monitor?
Yes. Connect a single output and the switch works like a one-screen KVM, but the single-monitor AS-21HA is smaller and cheaper for that setup.
Will the AS-22HA run a 4K 60 Hz monitor?
No. It uses HDMI 1.4b, which carries 4K at up to 30 Hz. For 4K at 60 Hz on two screens choose the Inter-Tech AS-22HUS (HDMI 2.0).
Does a laptop with one HDMI port work with the AS-22HA?
Only one screen will be driven from that laptop unless it has a second video output (for example USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode plus a USB-C to HDMI adapter).

Singular Expert Insight

The AS-22HA is the practical pick for dual-screen office desks that share peripherals between two PCs and do not need 4K 60 Hz. It keeps audio and a microphone in the switch path, which many dual-head KVMs at this price skip. Creative and CAD users on 4K displays should step up to the AS-22HUS. See all KVM switches.
✓ Buy it if both of your PCs have two HDMI outputs and you want one dual-monitor desk with shared keyboard, mouse and headset.
✕ Skip it if your monitors are 4K and you expect 60 Hz.
→ Also consider Argus AS-21HA (single monitor), Inter-Tech AS-22HUS (HDMI 2.0, USB 3.0 hub).
