ASRock A620AM-P WiFi — AM5 Micro ATX with DDR5, Wi-Fi and HDMI + DisplayPort
Socket AM5Micro ATXDDR5 · up to 128GBHDMI 2.1 + DP 1.4
The ASRock A620AM-P WiFi is a Micro ATX motherboard with the AMD A620A chipset for Socket AM5 Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series processors. It brings two DDR5 slots (up to 128GB), a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, a Gen4 x4 M.2 slot plus a second M.2 slot (Gen3 x4 or SATA), dual-band Wi-Fi 5 with Bluetooth 5.0 and Gigabit LAN — a cost-effective base for office, home and entry gaming PCs on the AM5 platform.
For Ryzen CPUs with integrated graphics, it offers both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 (each up to 4K 120Hz). Power is delivered through a 4+1+1 phase Dr.MOS design with a 24-pin and an 8-pin connector; rear I/O includes four USB 3.2 Gen1 and four USB 2.0 ports and a BIOS Flashback button.
Before you order: The x16 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x16 with Ryzen 9000/7000, x8 with Ryzen 8000 "Phoenix 1" and x4 with Ryzen 8000 "Phoenix 2". HDMI/DP work only with CPUs that have integrated graphics. A620 boards are designed for mainstream CPUs — for high-end Ryzen 9 builds, ask us about B650/B850 options.
What's in the Box
- 1 × ASRock A620AM-P WiFi motherboard
- 1 × I/O shield
- 2 × SATA data cables
- 2 × Wi-Fi antennas (2.4/5 GHz)
What It Means in Practice
- Two DDR5 slots run in dual channel; for 32GB or 64GB use a 2-module kit from the start, as there are no spare slots to add later.
- Put the boot NVMe SSD in the Gen4 M.2 slot; the second M.2 accepts a Gen3 NVMe or a SATA M.2 drive.
- HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 let you run two monitors directly from a Ryzen with integrated graphics — no graphics card needed for office use.
- BIOS Flashback updates the BIOS from a USB stick without a CPU, handy for newer Ryzen 9000 chips.
What Will Not Work
- It does not support DDR4 or AM4 processors.
- Wi-Fi is Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), not Wi-Fi 6/7; LAN is 1 Gb/s, not 2.5 Gb/s.
- It has no USB-C port on the rear panel (only a front USB-C header).
- It does not support CPU overclocking (A620 platform); memory can run EXPO/XMP profiles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a Ryzen 9 CPU?
The board lists Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 support. For sustained heavy loads on high-core-count CPUs, a B650/B850 board with stronger power delivery is the better match — ask us.
Do I need a graphics card?
Not if your Ryzen has integrated graphics (most Ryzen 7000/9000 and all 8000G models). Use the HDMI or DisplayPort on the board.
Can I add Wi-Fi 6E later?
The Wi-Fi module sits in an M.2 Key E 2230 slot, but any upgrade depends on module compatibility; Wi-Fi 5 is what ships.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The A620AM-P WiFi is the low-cost way onto AM5: DDR5, PCIe 4.0, two M.2 slots, Wi-Fi and dual display outputs in Micro ATX. Buy matched DDR5 in pairs, use a Ryzen with integrated graphics for office builds, and see our
memory (RAM) for compatible kits.
✓ Buy it if you are building an office, home or entry gaming AM5 PC in a Micro ATX case and want Wi-Fi and HDMI + DP.
✕ Skip it if you need four memory slots, 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 6/7, USB-C on the rear or CPU overclocking.
→ Also consider the ASRock B650 Rock WiFi 7 (ATX, PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7, 2.5G LAN).
