ASRock B650 Rock WiFi 7 — AM5 ATX Motherboard with PCIe 5.0 and Wi-Fi 7
Socket AM5DDR5 · up to 256GBPCIe 5.0 GPU + M.2Wi-Fi 7 · 2.5G LAN
The ASRock B650 Rock WiFi 7 is an ATX motherboard with the AMD B650 chipset for Socket AM5 Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series processors. It combines a PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics slot, a PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot, four DDR5 slots for up to 256GB, Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.5 Gigabit LAN — a strong base for gaming and creator PCs that should stay current for years.
Power comes through a 9+2+1 phase design with a 24-pin and two 8-pin 12V connectors on an 8-layer PCB. Rear I/O includes HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A and Type-C (10 Gb/s), a BIOS Flashback button and 7.1-channel audio (Realtek ALC897).
Before you order: Availability of some expansion and M.2 slots varies by CPU model — Ryzen 8000-series APUs provide fewer PCIe lanes than Ryzen 7000/9000. HDMI output only works with a CPU that has integrated graphics. Send us your CPU model and we will confirm what is usable.
What's in the Box
- 1 × ASRock B650 Rock WiFi 7 motherboard
- 2 × SATA data cables
- 2 × ASRock Wi-Fi 2.4/5/6 GHz antennas
What It Means in Practice
- The PCIe 5.0 x16 slot is ready for current and next-generation graphics cards; the second x16-size slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x4.
- Put your fastest NVMe SSD in the Gen5 M.2 slot (CPU) and a second drive in the Gen4 slot (chipset); four SATA ports add HDDs or SATA SSDs.
- DDR5 runs in dual channel with EXPO/XMP profiles; up to 8000+ MHz is an overclocked figure and depends on CPU and memory kit.
- BIOS Flashback lets you update the BIOS from a USB stick without a CPU — useful when pairing an older board batch with a newer Ryzen 9000 CPU.
What Will Not Work
- It does not support AM4 CPUs or DDR4 memory.
- It has no DisplayPort or Thunderbolt/USB4 on the rear panel.
- The HDMI port gives no picture with Ryzen CPUs that lack integrated graphics.
- It is not a Micro-ATX board — it needs an ATX-capable case.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my Ryzen 9000 CPU work out of the box?
The board supports Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000. If the board arrives with an older BIOS, use BIOS Flashback to update from a USB stick without a CPU. Ask us and we can check the BIOS version.
Can I use my DDR4 memory?
No. AM5 and this board support DDR5 only.
Do I need a separate Wi-Fi card?
No. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are built in; just attach the two included antennas.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The B650 Rock WiFi 7 puts the features that matter for the next upgrade — PCIe 5.0 for the GPU and a Gen5 SSD, Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5G LAN — on a mainstream B650 board. Check your CPU (8000-series APUs reduce lanes), plan DDR5 and pick a case with ATX support. Pair it with memory from our
memory (RAM) range.
✓ Buy it if you are building or upgrading to AM5 and want PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5G LAN on a full ATX board.
✕ Skip it if you need Thunderbolt/USB4, DisplayPort output, Micro-ATX size or DDR4 support.
→ Also consider an X870 board if you need USB4 and more PCIe 5.0 lanes.
