The ASRock Steel Legend SL-1000P is a 1000 W ATX 3.1 power supply with 80 PLUS Platinum certification and Cybenetics Platinum / LAMBDA A+ ratings, for high-end gaming PCs and workstations with one powerful graphics card. It delivers 83.4 A on the +12V rail, is PCIe 5.1 ready with a native dual-colour 12V-2x6 (12+4 pin) connector, and supports 200% total power excursion.
All cables are fully modular. A 135 mm striped axial FDB fan with switchable iCOOL mode keeps noise low, the capacitors are all Japanese 105 °C parts, and ASRock adds a built-in 5V Boost function and PCIe 5.1 Cable TempGuard. The unit measures 150 × 150 × 86 mm and carries a 10-year ASRock warranty.
Before you order: At 150 mm long it is deeper than many 140 mm units — check the PSU bay of compact ATX cases and leave space for the modular cable plugs.

What It Means in Practice
- 1000 W covers a single high-end GPU with a high-core-count CPU and leaves headroom for upgrades.
- The native 12V-2x6 cable connects directly to current GPUs; Cable TempGuard is ASRock's temperature safeguard for that connector.
- Nine SATA and three Molex connectors handle large storage builds.
- iCOOL mode keeps the fan slow at lower loads; switch it off if you prefer constant airflow.
What Will Not Work
- It has only one 12V-2x6 connector — for two modern GPUs, look at the SL-1200P.
- It is not SFX and will not fit SFF cases that need SFX/SFX-L.
- Modular cables are specific to this PSU — do not mix in cables from other units.
- No RGB lighting or software monitoring.
