The DIGITUS DN-93905 is a fully shielded Cat6A RJ45 inline coupler, female to female, that joins two patch cords into one longer link, for users and IT staff who need a few extra metres without replacing the cable.
DIGITUS states that it meets ISO/IEC 11801 Class EA channel requirements up to 500 MHz, with 1:1 wiring, a polished nickel-plated brass housing and phosphor bronze contacts with 0.6 µm gold plating rated for at least 750 mating cycles.

What It Means in Practice
- Join two patch cords when a device moved and the cable no longer reaches.
- Shielded metal housing keeps the shield continuous between two shielded patch cords.
- Straight 1:1 wiring passes Ethernet and PoE transparently — it is a passive joint.

What Will Not Work
- It does not split one port into two and does not act as a switch.
- It does not turn a crossover cable into a straight one or vice versa (1:1 only).
- A coupler does not raise the category of the cables: two Cat5e cords joined with it remain a Cat5e link.
