The DIGITUS DN-13001-1 is a compact print server that plugs directly into the 36-pin Centronics parallel port of a printer and connects it to your network over 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with automatic speed detection. It supports LPR, RAW, IPP and SMB printing over TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBEUI and AppleTalk, peer-to-peer and server-based printing, and is managed through a web browser, a Windows utility or SNMP. At 66 × 56 × 26 mm it stays behind the printer. In practice it gives an older parallel printer a place on the network, and DIGITUS lists support up to Windows 10.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Parallel printers only — it has no USB port, so a USB-only printer cannot connect; for USB, see the DIGITUS DN-13020 device server. DIGITUS lists Windows 2000 to Windows 10, Mac OS 8.1 or higher and Linux; Windows 11 is not on the list, but the server supports LPR and RAW, so a current PC can add it as a standard TCP/IP printer port. It shares printing only — no scanning or fax. Tell us your printer model and we check it.

DIGITUS lists Windows 2000 to Windows 10, Mac OS 8.1 or higher and Linux. On Windows 11 you can add it as a standard TCP/IP port (LPR or RAW); tell us your PC and printer and we confirm before you order.
Can I scan through it?
No. It shares printing only. For network scanning, use a printer with its own network port or a USB device server with scanning software.
