The Digitus A-96933-02-APC is a splice cassette that comes with twelve single-mode OS2 9/125 µm pigtails already pre-assembled and cut to length, each terminated with an LC/APC connector, for terminating a 12-fibre single-mode cable inside a fibre splice box or distribution panel.
Instead of routing loose pigtails and fitting splice holders yourself, you mount the ready-made cassette, splice each incoming fibre to the pigtail of the same colour and plug the LC/APC connectors into the box's adapters. The pigtails are colour-coded to IEC 60304 and a colour-code sticker sits on the cassette lid.
Before you order: APC single-mode only: the LC/APC (green) connectors need LC/APC adapters in your box or panel and OS2 single-mode fibre on the incoming side. The cassette is a DIN 47662-type insert — check that your splice box accepts this cassette format before ordering.

- Typical use: terminating a 12-fibre single-mode cable for FTTH, PON or telecom hand-off in a wall or rack splice box with LC/APC adapters.
- The pigtails arrive pre-routed in the cassette, so the work on site is splicing and closing the lid — cleaner and faster than handling twelve loose pigtails.
- Matching each incoming fibre to the pigtail of the same IEC 60304 colour keeps fibre 1 on port 1 across the whole link.
- APC connectors keep back-reflection low, the requirement for GPON/XGS-PON and RF video over fibre.
What Will Not Work
- UPC (blue) adapters or equipment — APC and UPC end-faces must not be mated.
- Multimode (OM3/OM4) cables — the pigtails are OS2 single-mode.
- Splice boxes that do not accept DIN 47662-type cassettes.
- Splicing without a fusion splicer and splice protection sleeves — the sleeves and tools are not part of the set.
