Frequently Asked Questions

Is 1000W enough for an RTX 5090?
ASUS pairs the Strix 1000W with high-end single-GPU builds. With an RTX 5090 and a flagship CPU under full load, 1000W is workable but with less margin; 1200W gives more headroom.
What is the difference from the black ROG Strix 1000W Platinum?
This is the White Edition (white housing) and it includes the ROG Equalizer cable. For a dark build, choose the black ROG Strix 1000W Platinum and check its part number and box contents.
Does it have an OLED display like the ROG Thor?
No. The Strix Platinum skips the OLED and Aura lighting; choose the ROG Thor 1200W Platinum III White Edition if you want those.
Singular Expert Insight
The Strix 1000W White is the sweet spot for a white RTX 5080 or RX 9070 XT build: Platinum efficiency, silent low-load operation, the Equalizer cable and 10 years of cover, in a shorter 160 mm body than the Thor. More options in 850W+ power supplies.
✓ Buy it if You want a white, quiet 1000W unit without paying for OLED or RGB.
✕ Skip it if You want RGB lighting or a live wattage display.
→ Also consider ASUS ROG Thor 1200W Platinum III White Edition (90YE00V9-B0NA00) for OLED, Aura and more headroom.
