This is the full-desk size of the coated ROG mat: 900 x 400 x 3 mm, so keyboard, mouse and forearms sit on one surface. ASUS specifies it as a soft mat with a cloth top and a rubber bottom, and the reason to choose it over a plain cloth mat is the superior protective nano coating for a water-, oil- and dust-repellent surface. The oil part matters more than the water part in daily use — hands leave oils on a mat, and an oily patch is where tracking starts to feel inconsistent. The border uses anti-fray, flat-stitched edges so the seam does not sit up under your palm, and the base is non-slip rubber. In the box: 1 x ROG Scabbard II Extended gaming mousepad and 1 x ROG logo sticker.
Compatibility — check before buying:
One instruction genuinely changes how you use this mat, and it comes from ASUS on the Scabbard II range: the protective nano-coating may be damaged by liquids above 30 degrees Celsius. A cold spill wipes off; hot coffee or hot water does not simply make a mess, it can degrade the coating itself. Never wash it in hot water — ASUS publishes no washing instruction at all. On size, 900 mm wide by 400 mm deep covers most of a standard desktop and will overhang a shallow desk at the front, so measure the free depth first. At 3 mm it lies flat with no cushioning, and there is no wrist rest and no lighting. ASUS publishes no weight, no speed-versus-control classification and no warranty term for this mat, so we quote none of those. The Medium size, at 360 x 260 mm, is a separate part number.
