The Auerswald COMfortel C-400 is a professional SIP conference phone for meeting rooms. Besides two microphones in the base, it comes with four wireless DECT microphones that can be placed along the table, so participants at the far end of a long table are heard as clearly as those next to the phone.
It suits small, medium and large meeting rooms in offices, practices and schools that use a SIP phone system — Auerswald COMtrexx, COMpact or COMmander, or third-party platforms such as Asterisk and hosted PBX services.
Before you order: Works with Auerswald COMtrexx Next/Flex/Business, COMpact 4000/5200/5200R/5500R, COMmander 6000 series and COMuniq ONE, plus Asterisk, IP-Centrex and hosted SIP. G.722 wideband audio needs a platform that supports it (e.g. COMpact firmware 7.2 or later).

- The wireless microphones run up to 8 hours per charge (up to 70 hours standby) — enough for a full day of meetings.
- Full-duplex hands-free with echo cancellation lets people talk over each other naturally.
- The included PoE power supply means only one network cable runs to the table.
- Up to 3 SIP accounts, so one room phone can carry more than one line.
What Will Not Work
- It has no Bluetooth or USB audio for laptop video calls — it is a SIP phone, not a USB speakerphone.
- It is not a video conferencing system.
- G.722 HD audio only works if the phone system supports it.
- Not an analogue phone — it needs a SIP PBX or SIP provider.
