The AXIS T98A15-VE Surveillance Cabinet (part 5900-151) is a vandal-resistant polycarbonate enclosure for outdoor camera sites, where you install the midspan, switch, media converter or power supply right next to the camera instead of in a separate box. It is rated IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10, protecting the equipment against dust, high-pressure water, salt spray, ice and impact.
Inside there is a stainless-steel mounting plate with a pre-mounted DIN rail, pre-mounted cable gaskets and cable clamps, and a device mounting bracket. The supplied door lets you attach an Axis camera directly to the cabinet, so camera and electronics form one weatherproof unit on a wall, pole or corner.
Before you order: The cabinet comes empty: power supply, electrical safety kit, pole/corner brackets and alternative camera doors are sold separately. Axis lists DIN power supplies (CP-D 12 V 25 W or 24 V 100 W), Electrical Safety Kits A (120 V) / B (230 V) and doors T98A06/T98A07/T98A08 for specific camera types.

What It Means in Practice
- Put a midspan or small industrial PoE switch on the DIN rail and feed several cameras from one cabinet on the pole.
- For a 230 V installation in Cyprus, add the Axis Electrical Safety Kit B and a DIN power supply.
- Use the supplied gaskets for each cable to keep the IP66 rating.
- Operating range is -40 to 75 °C, but the real limit depends on the equipment you install inside.
What Will Not Work
- It does not include a power supply, midspan, switch or electrical safety kit.
- It is not a heated or cooled cabinet — no heater or fan is included.
- Pole and corner mounting need separate Axis brackets.
- It does not include a lock or door switch; these are optional accessories.
