The AXIS PS-24 (5000-001) is an outdoor mains power adaptor designed for compatible Axis surveillance installations requiring a 24 VAC supply. It accepts either 100–120 VAC or 220–240 VAC mains through a selectable 115/230 V input setting and provides terminal connections for camera power and alarm input/output wiring. The enclosed unit is intended for fixed installation and includes mounting hardware for attachment to a suitable flat surface.
Installation notice:
The PS-24 contains mains voltage and Axis specifies that the electrical connection must be performed by an authorised electrician in accordance with applicable local regulations. The input voltage selector must match the local mains supply before power is connected. The mains power cable itself is not supplied.

Selectable mains input
A physical voltage selector allows the power adaptor to be configured for either 100–120 VAC or 220–240 VAC supply. The selector position must be set correctly before connection to mains power.
24 VAC regulated installation supply
With a 220–240 VAC input, Axis specifies a 24 VAC output rated up to 50 VA from −20 to +30 °C, reducing to 35 VA between +31 and +50 °C ambient temperature.
Integrated terminal connections
The enclosure provides terminal connections for power as well as two sets of terminals intended to simplify wiring for compatible alarm inputs and outputs between the camera and installation.
Mounting hardware supplied
Axis supplies four mounting holders together with screws and plugs for attachment to a suitable wood or concrete surface. The enclosure should be mounted with its cable glands pointing downward.

The most important point with this product is that it is not a modern plug-in power brick. The PS-24 is a fixed-installation outdoor power supply with internal mains-voltage terminals, a manual 115/230 V selector and dedicated terminal wiring for compatible Axis camera systems. For Cyprus and other 220–240 V markets, the 230 V selector setting is the relevant configuration. Also note that newer Axis documentation specifies temperature-dependent output limits: at 220–240 V input the 24 VAC output is up to 50 VA through +30 °C and 35 VA above that temperature, so older listings that simply state 63 VA should not be treated as the current installation-guide rating.
