The AXIS W800 System Controller UK (part number 01964-003) is the central unit of the AXIS body worn solution. AXIS body worn cameras and their docking stations connect to it; it registers the cameras, manages users and settings, and offloads the recorded video to the content destination — AXIS Camera Station or a supported third-party video management system. One controller handles up to 40 cameras and 5 docking stations, and a system can grow to 1000 cameras. Video is buffered on a 480 GB SSD with 256-bit encryption, and a TPM 2.0 chip protects the keys. The compact black box measures 53 × 180 × 180 mm and weighs 765 g. In practice it is the part that turns body cameras into a managed evidence system.

Compatibility — check before buying:
It does nothing on its own. You need AXIS body worn cameras, AXIS docking stations and a content destination. It is not a PoE switch and does not power the docking stations. It runs on 12 V DC; AXIS lists only a mounting bracket as included and does not state whether a power adapter comes in the box — ask us before you plan the installation.
